Safari Overview

Our combined Kenya and Tanzania Safaris are a unique exploration across 2 major ecosystems. Visiting the Great Masai Mara in Kenya and the Endless Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. They share an ecosystem that hosts thousands of wildlife and bird species.

This safari gives you a chance to extend your safari tours to the Kenyan Coast or Zanzibar for a beach holiday. After a long-haul safari traversing the bush plains of Kenya and Tanzania, a time to relax at the coast would be ideal to recap and enjoy a cold ocean breeze.

Safari Itinerary

After breakfast from your hotel in Nairobi, we pick you up and leave for Masai Mara through the great African rift valley escarpment where you will have a stop at the viewing point to view the escarpment. Then you drive through Masai town Narok. Arrive at Mara camp in time for lunch. After you will have a late afternoon game drive until sunset.

Early morning breakfast then depart at 7:30 am for a full day with packed lunch then proceed for the game drive in search of its popular animals like the well- known big five e.g. elephant, leopard, lion, rhino, buffalo and predators e.g. lion, cheater, hyena, wild dogs etc. And their opponents like the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo and dangerous crocodiles with a visit to Mara River where you will have your lunch at migration point where the wildebeest migrating from Serengeti to Masai Mara and you will not see migration taking place. After lunch you will continue with the game drive until sunset then you will drive back to the camp.

An early morning game-drive up to 9:30 am in such of animals hunting, killing and eating after which you will come back for full breakfast you will have time to visit Masai village and then depart for Lake Naivasha with lunch at Narok. After lunch, you drive to Lake Naivasha arriving late in the afternoon for a boat trip where you will be able to see many species of birds and water animals e.g. hippo and have good pictures of them.

Meals [Breakfast, lunch & dinner]

Early morning breakfast and leave for Lake Bongoria located inside Lake Bongoria national reserve. We arrive with picnic lunch before noon. We explore Lake Bongoria national reserve on a game drive and walk around this spectacular lake in the heart of an arid landscape. The soda lake attracts massive flocks of flamingoes and is often carpeted in pink, due to the high concentrations of flamingoes. The western shore has hot springs and spouting geysers, sputing steam and bubbling geothermal pools. Freshwater springs at the lake edge attract an abundance of birds and wildlife. We return to Lake Nakuru for dinner and overnight at Citymax hotel.

After breakfast, you leave for a full day game drive with packed lunch, in search of leopard which is frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru park. After lunch you continue with the game drive, take a full afternoon looking out for 2 species of rhino found in the park and tree climbing lions. Lake Nakuru is known with many species of birds and thousands of flamingoes.

After breakfast at Citymax hotel, you will depart road to Ol Pajeta conservancy situated between the foothills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya. Arrive at Serena tented camp in time for lunch followed some leisure hours for a siesta/swim. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed on an afternoon game viewing game viewing across the vast savannah grasslands, a terrain favored elephants. Visit the chimpanzee’s sanctuary the only one of its kind in Kenya. The sanctuary is home to orphaned chimpanzees from the Jane good all institute in Burundi. A walk around the sanctuary will give you an opportunity to sport the orphaned chimps. Sweetwater’s game reserve is one of only for private game reserves in Kenya and provides visitors with a unique combination of facilities and activities. This 24000 acres reserve situated within 90000 acres of the Ol Pajeta Conservancy enjoys magnificent views acorn the plains to the snow-capped peak of Mount Kenya and has an abundance of wildlife and tropical vegetation. Here guest enjoys special activities such as game walk, night game drives, horse-back game drives and meals in the bush. You will have a chance to view an amazing variety of wildlife such as zebra, lion, leopard, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, oryx, eland, baboon, elephant and various species of birds. Return to the camp before sunset.

An early morning game drive in the conservancy, Sweetwater’s/Ol Pajeta Conservancy is the closest place from Nairobi to see the big five- lion, African elephant, African buffalo leopard and the rhinoceros [either the black rhino or the white rhino]. the combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience. After breakfast depart road for Nairobi early afternoon.

Early morning breakfast then leave for Amboseli national park with lunch at Kibo safari lodge. After lunch you relax at the pool then depart for evening game drive, Amboseli national park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arrive late in the evening.

Early morning games breakfast at 6:30am and leave the lodge with packed lunch for the full day game drive where you will spend time in the park in search of its popular residents like the well- known predators and their opponents like the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and hippo and big elephants with a view of MT Kilimanjaro. Later return to your lodge.

Early breakfast then proceed for morning game drives exit the park and, we drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We also pass through Arusha to Lake Manyara national park with lunch en-route. Regardless of the direction, we approach Manyara from, the view is always fantastic. We proceed to a camp for dinner and overnight stay. Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the rift valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting in addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippo, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingoes at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from Savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.

Early morning game drives before taking your breakfast. After breakfast you leave Lake Manyara national park with packed lunch then proceeds lunch picnic there after lunch continues with afternoon game viewing in the park, a home to lion, elephants, leopard buffalo python, zebra, Oryx, Impala and more………over 450 species of birds have been observed.

Breakfast at 0700am.pick up from the campsite at 0800 am and drive on tarmac road 60 km with lunch box to Serengeti. The park is home to lion, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo giraffe, baboon, blue and vervet monkey, warthog and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals to Serengeti national park. The game is viewed as we proceed to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Full day spent exploring the park. Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering 14736 sq. km and is adjoining with the Masai national reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species[which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, grants gazelle, kongoni, eland, kirk’s dik-dik, klipspringer, roan, oryx, oribi, waterbuck buffalo, giraffe and warthog],the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of pray such as lion, leopard ,cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scared and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the more copies area. Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common,a variety of larks, finches and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller.

After an early breakfast, we drive south to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater enter in to the crater for a full day crater tour with packed lunches ascend the crater and drive to samba campsite for dinner and overnight stay .the ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena.it is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals.

Early morning breakfast at Ngorongoro crater camp then depart for Lake Eyasi on a very rough trail for 2 hours’ drive; the road circumnavigates the Ngorongoro crater and head southwest to Mongola village; have a contract to local tribesmen and impression of barabaig/hadza/san tribes. The hadza number just under 1000.some 300-400 hadza live as hunter-gathers, much as their ancestors have for thousands or even tens of thousands of years; they are the last functioning hunter-gatherers in Africa. Our accommodations are at kisima ngeda tented camp situated on the shores of Lake Eyasi, with sweeping views toward the rift.

Very early morning [05: 45 am] you will drive to the dwelling of the famous hadzabe tribe in the bush for cultural integration. Join the hadza tribe and go to forage, and during the course of day eat while foraging, and also bring back some honey, fruit, or wild game when available. While traditionally considered an East African branch of the khoisan peoples, primarily because their language has clicks, modern genetic research suggests that they may be more closely related to the pygmies. Get an opportunity to walk with them and watch the way they hunt or collect honey and insect. Later drives to Arusha with lynch en route, arriving in time for your flight to Zanzibar which leaves at 7:40 pm.

The day begins with breakfast and serene view over the Indian Ocean to the endless horizon. A walking tour is the best way to experience the town, which exists today much as it did in the days when the “isle of spices’’ was a great trading center known the world over for spices, timber and timber, and slaves. The market place is alive with vendors who hawk their exotic wares in a multitude of languages, as many as the intense palette of colors in fabrics and trinkets for sale.as we move away from the raucous market, the winding streets grow serene and mysterious with whitewashed houses, ornately carved wooden doors and balconies studded with brass. We visit the Zanzibar museum and old fort. Lunch is slow and relaxed, followed an afternoon spent visiting the plantations where cinnamon, cardamom and strong Arabic coffees are grown and, of course, we see the cloves- the gold of Zanzibar-the world’s finest and most desired spice.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to any of the diving centers along the beach for water sports.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Nairobi where you will be picked up and proceed to David Sheldrick and giraffe center to play with a ba elephant and feed the giraffe later in the day you will be dropped at a place of choice.
